About
David Metheny
DNP, PMHNP-BC & FNP-BC
I am a board-certified psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner and the founder of Mindful Integrative Psychiatry. With over 30 years of experience in mental health care, including 17 years as a nurse practitioner, I understand how overwhelming anxiety can feel.
My practice is centered on helping middle-aged professionals (ages 35-49) in Georgia reclaim their sense of balance and well-being. I combine evidence-based approaches with holistic strategies, such as treatment management, botanical remedies, and practical tools for managing stress, to treat the whole person, not just the symptoms.
My Background
I’m a dual-certified nurse practitioner in psychiatric and family practice, bringing over three decades of experience to my work. My unique approach combines clinical expertise with holistic care, drawing on evidence-based tools and practical strategies to help clients thrive. Having worked extensively with adults facing complex challenges, I understand how to create solutions that are both effective and sustainable.
More About Me
When I’m not working, I enjoy activities that help me stay grounded and energized. Kickboxing keeps me physically active and allows me to release stress, while playing guitar brings creativity and joy into my life. Meditation is another essential part of my routine, helping me recharge and maintain a sense of balance. These practices not only enrich my personal life but also inspire my therapeutic approach, as I encourage clients to find activities that help them connect with themselves and feel recharged.
